We have Guides that are on standby virtually 24 hours a day 7 days a week. It is always recommended and in the best interest of the Teen to make the travel arrangements at least 48 hours in advance, and to make all the reservations for travel and to work out all the details to assure that no problems are encountered. Further, with advance notice we can provide for the best possible Airfare savings.
Usually by the time you have made contact with a transport company you have already made all the arrangements with the school or program. They will probably have you pack some personal items, medications, clothing, and a letter for your child.
When our Guides arrive they will first collect these items along with all related contract, permission to transport forms, and payment checks for both the School/Program and USA guides if applicable. The Guides once introduced to your child by you will by the pre-arraigned plan then start the transport process.
Our Guides are trained to first use verbal skills & techniques to control a situation and are highly effective at de-escalating a potential confrontation. As our Guides are in very close proximity to the teen at all times they can "read" the situation and if the Teen becomes combative we will employ restraint holds that may be uncomfortable yet, will assure that no harm comes to either the Teen or our Guides. The Teen will be handled with respect and they will be advised that the will have to go and it is their choice on how comfortable they would like to be during the transport.
We will not utilize any restraints unless the Teen is in imminent danger of injuring themselves or others. If the circumstances arise where restraints are used we will make every effort to maintain the dignity of your child without sacrificing everyone's safety.
During the transport process your child is always within arms reach of our Guides. We pay particular attention to verbal comments and body language or non-verbal actions that might give clues as to the mind set of the Teen. These signs will alert the Guides so that any problems are defused before they occur.
Some things the Teen will not be able to do without the Parent's or Guardian's expressed prior Permission.
Our Guides will make regular pre-arraigned calls to the Parents or Guardians as to the progress of the transport, and upon arrival at the School or Program. At the option of the Parents or Guardians they can opt for the use of our GPS locator and they can discreetly track the progress of the transport by either the phone or Internet. Our Intake coordinators will provide detailed instructions on the use of the GPS locator device.
"I am so grateful that USA Guides Inc. was recommended to me when my husband and I decided to send our son Matt to Eagles Nest School. Your guidance on the phone during my initial contact was very helpful, you were patient and answered all my questions. When Ron Buck contacted me I received the same professionalism that I received from you. Ron was very helpful in making me feel comfortable about Matt's transportation to the school. When Ron and Robert arrived at our home their calm demeanor helped my feel less nervous. Matt did show some resistance upon leaving the house, but the situation was handled quickly. When Ron called me from the plane he assured me that Matt was OK, he calmed down in the car and everything was going smoothly. After Matt arrived at Eagles Nest Ron again called me to give me more details of the trip. I appreciated his report and felt relieved that Matt was with two men with compassion and understanding. I think that both Ron and Robert made a difficult situation more comfortable for Matt. I have nothing but high praise for your company and especially feel that Ron Buck and Robert Skinner are top professionals and would recommend your services to my friends and family. Thank you very much."
